November 12th- 16th

This week students finished the Light and Optics unit by working on and presenting their Optical Technology projects in small groups.  Their kaleidoscopes unit reviews are due Monday November, 19th. Students  began the Mix and Flow of Matter Unit by looking at the " I Can..." statements and creating a title page that includes 3x things they know, 3x things they want to know and including images and diagrams. Title pages are due Monday, November 19th.  There are many students who have still not brought in their Duo-tangs for Science. They can be any color but need to come in as soon as possible. We are using them to documents their learning journey this year.

November 5th- 8th

This week in Science students worked on their Optical Technology Research Projects which will be due Monday,  November 12th and they will be presenting in small groups.

October 29th- November 1st

On Monday students had the lesson to finish their Comparing Eyes Project to Start their Optical Technology Research Project. Comparing Eyes Project is due Monday, November 5th  and needs to be handed in with their self-assessment rubric found on the instruction sheet Optical Technologies Research Project will be due Thursday, November 8th  in which they will be presenting in small groups. They will have time to work on their projects next week. On Tuesday October 30th we had had studio artist Mark Vazquez-Mackay work with students to create their own pinhole cameras. On Wednesday October 31st Students went outside and took pictures with their pinhole cameras and completed an experiment with these pictures.
